Rock Stabilisation - Dover Castle

Dover Castle Rock Stabilisation WorksTRAC Engineering was appointed by English Heritage to carry out rock stabilisation works on the Chalk Cliffs below Dover Castle. The works comprised the replacement of existing rock bolts and the installation of rock fall netting on the famous cliffs.

Due to the location of the working area, the works were carried out using rope access techniques. With access to the cliff face from the castle above, TRAC was required to work within the exacting site requirements of English Heritage. This ensured the safety of the public visiting the castle which remained open during the works and minimised the risk of any damage to the castle which is a scheduled ancient monument.

Dover Castle Rock StabilisationDue to the presence of residential properties at the base of the cliffs additional safety measures were instigated to protect the public.

TRAC Engineering worked closely with English Heritage and their Engineers and were able to ensure that the works were completed on time and to budget.
