Carbon Management Programme

TRAC Engineering is participating in a Carbon Trust led programme which aims to help SMEs develop a carbon management plan.  TRAC Engineering is one of only 9 companies taking part in the pilot scheme which the Carbon Trust hopes to roll out to more SMEs later in the year.

The objective of the programme is to encourage businesses to design, develop and deliver short, medium and long term plans to reduce levels of greenhouse gas emissions.  We have produced a baseline figure for our greenhouse gas emissions and are now developing a project register to help us determine practical ways to reduce our carbon emissions over the next 5 years.  Areas that we will be initially focusing on include:

Energy usage

Waste treatment

This programme supports the commitments TRAC has already made in implementing our ISO 14001 certified Environmental Management System and will help us deliver continuous improvement of our system.
